LINKS
I don't tend to stick to a single neighborhood on the web. I visit
useful sites, stupid sites, smartypants sites, funny sites, amusing
sites, hind sites… you get the point. Most sites are visited by me only
once, though. If I find myself revisiting a
particular site, it kinda means it rocks.

If you live under
a rock, in a cave, or on Mars, you might not know about reddit. (Then
again, if you live on Mars, maybe you do.) Zillions of brilliant links
are submitted to reddit and are then voted up or down depending on
popularity. The site provides content categories into which links are
sorted, including those containing original, user-generated
content. It's a great resource for finding out about news from multiple
sources, obtaining advice, or even venting frustrations.

| Dropbox is the coolest thing ever. Store your files
externally
for free, sync the files with your own computer, and access it
from anywhere. Need to get a file to someone but it's too big
for email? Send them the dropbox link to it. Need to do that
when you're not even at a computer? Do it from your iPhone. If
you sign up with a .edu address, you get double the storage, too! |

If there's a single page I visit daily, it's this one.
Popurls is a
link aggregator, presenting the top links from about a zillion sites
including Digg, Reddit, Delic.io.us, Yahoo Buzz, Google News, NY Times,
Slashdot, Huffington Post, Lifehacker and more. It's fully customizable
with a login. |

I can't quite capture the coolness that's PostSecret, so
instead of my
lame explanation, I'll take the dry synopsis from wikipedia:
"PostSecret is an ongoing community mail art project,
created
by Frank Warren, in which people mail their secrets anonymously on a
homemade postcard. Select secrets are then posted on the PostSecret
website, or used for PostSecret's books or museum exhibits."
If you haven't been there, check it out. The shared secrets
are often
chilling.
